The coffee shop in which we had been sitting was a dimly lit kind of place with all kinds of pretentious art crap cluttering the walls. I’m sure that at any given moment, one could easily find a patron there who enjoys the kind of garbage I’m asking you to read. I can say with some certainty, however, that finding a Nicholas Sparks lover there would be very unusual. It was not the sort of place someone who reads Nicholas Sparks would sit and read Nicholas Sparks. That would be embarrassing in such a hip and intellectual place as the coffee shop.

It's rainy and thawing today, even if there's some snow left here and there. I haven't been out yet, and it is getting dark. Still winter, still early dark evenings. Pretty calm here today, no drama, so I've taken it easy and read my f-list. We used up the last of the rice porridge for lunch, and will have the last of the ham for dinner. Finally the end of this years christmas food =) Though mum is doing her fruit cake later, since she never had time before christmas. It's not as dense as the usual English one, has more plums in it, and grated almonds and maraschino cherries, and cognac, and it's pretty gorgeous.

I looked around for spinning shoes yesterday, but did't find any good ones, but I got a name for a good bike shop which is supposed to have a lot of models, so I'll try to check it out tomorrow. I'd really like to be able to do some spinning classed when I'm back in Lund for the new year. *Fingers crossed*
